Given the choice between these two (not necessarily opposed) concepts, which would you choose; Freedom, or Purity?
Freedom is the total absence of any restriction excepting those self-imposed; you may do whatever it is you have the power to accomplish. You are subject to no rule or law.
Purity is of purpose, and belief. Not that these are upright and moral in the standard use of the term, but that you, and these things in you, are undiluted, by either doubt or logical fallacy.
What do you think? I, for myself, would choose Purity.

i definitely choose purity. don't really see how much contest there could be here, with absolute freedom there is anarchy, and only the most foolhearty would accept such a thing. no controls, no boundaries, no limits, man would destroy himself, at least with our current history and current background and entrenched beliefs.

Does this choice mean there cannot be the other? If freedom is chosen then could one not find purity? If one chose purity does it mean a life of slavery?

For the purposes of the exercise, we'll have to say that perfect attainment of one necessarily precludes the perfect attainment of the other. Not any measure of the other, but the perfection of the other.
It seems to me most people would choos Purity; on the other hand, there is a powerful argument for Freedom being Purity for a man, or automatically rendering him Pure. If you are subject to no judgement but your own, than there is no judgement higher than your own.

Well, after careful thought, In would have to say freedom because I believe I could find some sense of purity on my own.

After further deliberation, I am forced to reconsider and go in favor of Freedom. For while Purity would be a lovely thing to have, I see little use for it when so thoroughly bound by laws and customs. I have come fairly well to terms with my failings - Freedom would grant me the ability to use my powers to pursue self improvement without arbitrary restraint, and keep me from being continually contaminated by the failings and foolishness of others.
