So, it has been discussed lately 'twixt myself, Ben, and Trevor the schedule for the release of the Orks. Rumor has it Eldar are the next Xenos to be released. It is pretty well understood that GW is maintainting a pace of Imperial/non-Imperial/Imperial. What question arises is how long they could delay the release of the Orks - which any player of the game worth their salt, or their piss for that matter, eagerly awaits. They are, however, running short on Xenos to put in fron of the Orks, who evidently are recieving a massive overhaul. Aside from the Eldar, my only two other thoughts are minor update of Chaos, updating Dark Eldar, and concievably reprinting Lost and the Damned. Also, an update of Necrons is possible (similar in scale, no doubt, to the update of the Tau, as the two suffered from some similar problems, it seemed to me). That's four. Which puts the Orks nine codices away, as the Tau are most recent and therefore the Imperials get a crack next. Maybe Ordo Xenos. Hopefully not Blood Angels, because I hate them.
Can anyone else concieve of other means (actual potential ones, not extreme and infeasible ones) for the Orks to be delayed further? Looking to assemble a worst-case scenario here. Either way, it sure isn't easy being green.
Edit: Some perusal of the GW website reveals the City of Death release (Cityfight update) is nearly simultaneous with that of the Tau. This is good news - it points to Battlezone books being out of the running for delaying Orks. So Jungles of Doom won't delay the green skins with too much green foliage.
